Fifty years later

Remembering October ‘
62:
A charismatic president that went to the nuclear brink with Khrushchev over Cuban missiles.
The world’s first nuclear aircraft carrier began service as the Big “E”.
James Bond started his studly service for Her Majesty.
My uncle was serving in Germany to guard the Fulda Gap.
Our 13 inch black+white tv was a big deal. We could watch Romper Room and Dad could watch Cronkite. Leave it to Beaver and Dennis the Menace were episodic happy days for me as a kid.
I can only wonder what the next generation will remember about October 2012 in a half century?
