June ’11 ushered out – almost the same for our Space Shuttles

We had a perfect evening on the last night of June 2011 to watch an International Space Station flyover in our northern sky.  I never get tired of viewing these slow-walker orbits.

I got to thinking about the last Space Shuttle mission of all time this month (July).  Then the World’s superpower will have to use Russian SOYUZ craft – hmmmm… not too super in my book.  What would Werner vonBraun or JFK say about that?

Hang in there, NASA!
